Your third hand for installing Trick Tabs.
The Dead Hand Solutions Trick Tab Chassis Speed Jig takes one of the most frustrating little jobs in fabrication—holding a tab exactly where you want it while trying to tack it—and makes it simple.
Designed specifically for .085" Trick Tabs, the jig holds and positions your tab against round tubing while an integrated magnet helps keep everything in place.
Built-in bubble levels and degree markings make it easy to position tabs consistently whether you need them level, vertical, or set at an angle.
Insert the tab. Position the jig. Tack it. Remove it. Move on to the next one.
Select the Chassis Speed Jig that matches the outside diameter of your tubing.
Available Trick Tab Jig sizes include:
2.00"
1.75"
1.625"
1.50"
1.25"

4. Set your angle.

Tack your Trick Tab securely into position.
6. Remove the jig.
Take the Chassis Speed Jig off before completing your final weld.
Roll cages, race car chassis, wiring mounts, brake lines, fuel lines, electronics, interior panels, brackets, accessories, custom fabrication, and all those little things that somehow need a tab.
Chassis Speed Jigs are positioning and tack-welding tools only. Always remove the jig before final welding. Do not weld directly against or through the jig.
Keep the welding arc directed away from the jig whenever possible.
Because you've already got enough things to hold while building a race car.
